NFIB Member Profile: CKL Engineers, LLC

Mae Williams, CEO CKL Engineers, LLC 3355 Lenox Road, Suite 750 Atlanta GA 30326 We talked to Mae Williams about her 25-person civil engineering firm and why she decided to join NFIB. How long has your company been a member of NFIB? Two months. Why did you join? CKL Engineers, LLC  is a growing national engineering firm providing civil construction engineering and management services in the aviation, highway, and utility markets. When deciding to open a local Georgia office, we had to partner with a business organization both knowledgeable with Georgia’s business climate and intimately familiar with small to medium-sized business issues. Key to our growth is NFIB’s membership – which comprises of locally innovative companies within reach of our firm’s local office. Georgia’s strong business climate already established itself as an increasingly important hub for tech entrepreneurs.  NFIB was there to provide key introductions critical to our expansion efforts. What state and federal issues are most important to your business, and what has NFIB done to help you address them? Tax relief and the handling of PPP loans, which is an issue for all businesses. NFIB’s in-depth knowledge of key issues and advocacy support for members is unparalleled.  The high level of engagement with Hunter and Jaime has proven critical to reaching our firm’s national goals. We are looking forward to expanding our knowledge base with the research NFIB provides its membership.
