NFIB making national, statewide news in its opposition to unconstitutional law

“This law puts small business owners in our state directly in the crosshairs. Washington has long been a place where entrepreneurs can thrive — this tax changes that overnight.”

So said Elizabeth Milito, executive director NFIB’s Small Business Legal Center, to one reporter. And to another reporter, she noted, “If by chance we don’t prevail, then you better believe that the legislature’s going to come back … So, I do really fear that this is the first step towards an income tax … If we don’t defeat this in court, it’s the first step towards an income tax on all Washingtonians.”

The warnings of both Milito and NFIB State Director Patrick Connor have been widely reported on not just in Washington state but also across the nation.

Subscribing media to stories produced by The Center Square, Washington State Standard, and the Courthouse News Service, which have covered NFIB’s involvement in the lawsuit, include online media giants Yahoo News and Brushwood Media Network, as well as dozens of dailies, weeklies, radio and TV stations, and local online news sites across the nation. Here at home, representative examples include The Chronicle (Centralia), the Kitsap Sun, KRKO Radio (Everett), and Fox 28 TV in Spokane, and numerous publications and online sites in between.
