Members Gather in Springfield for NFIB’s Small Business Day

NFIB members from across the state gathered in Springfield for NFIB’s annual Small Business Day on April 10.

The day’s events featured legislative updates from Sen. Jill Tracy and Sen. Dave Syverson, as well as NFIB briefings on key legislative issues and priorities in both Washington and Springfield.

Members also had the chance, after the organized programming, to meet with their elected representatives at the capitol.

“It was great having NFIB members come to Springfield,” said Illinois State Director Noah Finley. “Elected officials need to hear from their constituents, especially in a year like this when the Illinois General Assembly is considering a number of proposals detrimental to small businesses, such as the outsourcing of Illinois’ vehicle-emissions standards to California, the elimination of the tipped credit for restaurant workers, and reimposition of overreaching wetlands regulations.
