NFIB State Director Chad Heinrich appears on Winn Tucson to discuss the importance of tax conformity to Arizona small business owners

Following Governor Hobbs’ veto of the Legislature’s tax conformity plan, NFIB State Director Chad Heinrich appeared on Winn Tucson with NFIB member Katheen Winn to discuss small business owners’ support for aligning the state tax code with the federal tax reforms passed in 2025.

“Congress made permanent a lot of tax changes that are helpful for small businesses,” Heinrich said. “Usually, what happens is the Department of Revenue assumes that the legislature is going to follow the federal code and conform with those [changes], and those were the forms that they put out. [If Gov. Hobb’s is going to negotiate those changes] that puts folks in a bind and creates a lot of uncertainty because of our small businesses don’t know what the rules are.”
