Tax and regulatory relief among top priorities for Texas small businesses.

AUSTIN (Feb. 3, 2025) – Following Governor Abbott’s State of the State address, where among other issues, he reiterated his commitment to pursuing property tax and regulatory relief, NFIB State Director Jeff Burdett issued a statement:

“By prioritizing property tax cuts and regulatory relief, Governor Abbott is championing Main Street and the hardworking Texans they employ. Here in Texas, we understand how pro-growth policies and common sense can unleash entrepreneurialism and opportunity. We look forward to working with the Governor, his team, and lawmakers to ensure that small businesses get property tax relief, and that the Lone Star State remains the best place to start, own, and operate a business.”
