NFIB Members Recognized at Latest Ohio Leadership Council Meeting

On July 24, 2024, NFIB’s Ohio Leadership Council met for its quarterly meeting. NFIB Ohio State Director Chris Ferruso acknowledged several NFIB members for their membership and dedication to small businesses. “This LC meeting was a special one as I was honored to recognize a few of our long-time members and personally thank them for all that they do for the small business community,” said Ferruso. “The NFIB Ohio office is proud to have such committed members advocating for small businesses.” Fred Horner of Advanced Industrial Roofing in Massillon received a 35-year membership plaque. Advanced Industrial Roofing joined NFIB in 1989. Steve Dackin, Director of the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce addressed the group on ways small businesses and educators can work together to better align the needs of business with educational outcomes and student success. Steve Bruns of Bruns Construction Enterprises and Bruns Realty Group (NFIB member since 1983) in Tipp City received an appreication plaque for his 6 years of service on the Ohio Leadership Council. Allen Perk of XLN Systems in Gahanna, an NFIB member since 2002, received an appreication plaque for his 13 years of service on the Ohio Leadership Council. Doug Johnson of Johnson Electrical Supply in Cincinnati received the 2024 Small Business Champion Award for his outstanding efforts to support NFIB’s mission and advocate for small businesses.
