Main Street Grant Program Announced for Wisconsin Small Businesses

Governor Tony Evers recently launched a Main Street Bounceback Grant Program that will dedicate $50 million toward assisting small business owners and their communities fill vacant store fronts.   The grants are available to for-profit businesses planning or have recently moved into vacant commercial space where the lease commences or the sales contract closes on or after January 1, 2021, and on or before June 30, 2022,   New or existing businesses opening a new location or expanding in a vacant location are eligible for the $10,000 grants.   The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation will administer the grant program in partnership with the regional economic organizations. The program is scheduled to run through June 2022.   Members should contact the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation 608/210-6700 or visit the WEDC website – www.wedc.org – for application and eligibility information.
