Wisconsin Legislature provides millions in new funding for state tourism

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) State Director, Luke Bacher, released the following statement in response to recent action by the Joint Finance Committee (JFC) on the state budget bill:

“On behalf of the thousands of small businesses across Wisconsin, we thank the legislature for its strong commitment to the tourism industry.  With an impact of nearly $26 billion and over 100 million visitors annually, tourism plays a vital role in our state’s economy.  Many small businesses thrive when tourism flourishes, which is why the Legislature’s $36 million investment is so critical.  We applaud the members of the Joint Finance Committee for their leadership and strongly encourage Governor Evers to sign this provision into law.”
