NFIB California monitoring small-business-recovery assistance made available
The 443 wildfires that burned 57,670 acres in Los Angeles County and parts of Ventura County, causing 29 deaths and burning 16,251 acres, according to CalFire, have been contained.
Now, the rebuilding begins.
NFIB California is keeping track of all the state, federal and local agencies offering to help small business owners rebuild and will report them here.
First Stop
As it did for the COVID pandemic, the California State Treasurer’s Office has produced the most comprehensive guide on where to get help from federal, state, and local agencies offering assistance, as well as from nonprofit and other groups.
The nine-page California Wildfire Recovery Resource Guide also has information on shelters, legal resources, and tax relief.
NFIB held a conference call for our members with guests from the Governor’s Office of Small Business Advocate and from BizFed, who shared their suggested resources. Check out this story on the NFIB website.
