Lott Oil Co. has been named the 2026 NFIB Small Business Champion for Louisiana in recognition of the company’s long history of serving customers and supporting communities across the state.

“Small business is the engine that drives Louisiana’s economy, and NFIB members like Buddy Lott and Lott Oil ensure that the voice of small business is heard in Baton Rouge and Washington, D.C.,” NFIB State Director Leah Long said.

With a background working for Cities Service Gas Company in the early 1960s, Luther Lott Sr. moved his family to Natchitoches to launch Lott Oil. What began as a small fuel distributor with a single truck and two employees has grown into one of Louisiana’s largest family-owned fuel and lubricant providers, supplying industrial, commercial, retail, and wholesale customers across Louisiana. Lott Oil became an NFIB member in 2000.

“Through all the company’s growth, its commitment to customer service and family values has never changed,” Long said.
