NFIB Releases Voting Record on Washington Legislators

NFIB Releases Voting Record on Washington Legislators

June 25, 2026

Senate and House members graded on 10 issues of importance to small businesses

They are the two documents letting everyone know – in fact and in deeds – who the true friends of small business are in both Congress and in the Washington State Legislature.

Congress is still in session, but the Washington Legislature wrapped up its 2026 business on March 12, and NFIB Washington has tallied lawmakers’ votes on 10 issues of high importance to every small business owner’s ability to own, operate and grow their enterprises to come up with its Voting Record for the 69th Legislature (2025-26).

The NFIB Voting Record is considered by the public and media as the definitive measurement on every legislator’s claim to be supportive of small business. This year’s Voting Record graded all 49 senators and 98 House members on their votes on the 10 issues, revealing 12 senators and 13 House members with 100% support for small business. At the other end, four senators and one House member had 0% voting records.

“NFIB’s legislative victories for the 2026 session were more about bills we defeated than bills we passed this year,” wrote Patrick Connor, state director for NFIB in Washington in this session wrap-up story. “This is not unusual, particularly given the supermajorities controlling both chambers of the Legislature. Nonetheless, NFIB won enactment of two priority bills.”
