Washington, D.C. (September 12, 2018) – NFIB, the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, issued the following statement today on behalf of President and CEO Juanita D. Duggan addressing the recently proposed Tax Reform 2.0 language, H.R. 6760, that would make the small business pass-through deduction permanent:
“The small business pass-through deduction, created in last year’s Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, has encouraged an unprecedented small business economic boom. We are thrilled H.R. 6760 would make this important deduction permanent. Small business owners across the country need the tax cut to be permanent so that they have certainty as they evaluate plans to hire, increase wages, and grow their businesses. We have worked hard to ensure lawmakers understand how remarkable tax relief has been for small businesses through continued congressional meetings, our fly-in, and research, and we will continue our efforts as the Ways & Means Committee prepares to mark up this legislation.”
