NFIB Launches New Ads In New Hampshire Urging Senators Maggie Hassan and Jeanne Shaheen To Vote Against Tax Hikes On Small Businesses

Date: September 23, 2021

WASHINGTON, DC (Sept. 23, 2021) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, announced today a multi-state paid advertising campaign including radio, print, and digital ads in targeted states and districts, including New Hampshire, encouraging Senators Maggie Hassan and Jeanne Shaheen to vote against devastating tax hikes on small businesses.

These new ads are part of a targeted effort that will highlight why tax increases would be harmful to small businesses while holding members of Congress accountable for their support of massive government spending, tax hikes, and costly mandates.

“New Hampshire’s small businesses are in jeopardy, and Senators Maggie Hassan and Jeanne Shaheen could cast the deciding votes,” said Kevin Kuhlman, NFIB Vice President of Federal Government Relations. “Washington has proposed trillions in new government spending, and they want to pay for it with crippling new taxes on small businesses. Senators Hassan and Shaheen should stand up for Main Street and vote no on any new taxes on New Hampshire’s small businesses.”

New Hampshire’s small businesses have helped define our past … and hopefully our future.

But with Washington politicians proposing trillions in new government spending, that future could be in jeopardy.

That’s because many in Congress want to pay for it with crippling new taxes on small businesses.

Higher tax rates and elimination of critical small business tax provisions…

…And a new devastating “double death” tax – a nearly 50 percent tax family members running a small business must pay after an owner dies.

U.S. Senators Maggie Hassan and Jeanne Shaheen could be the deciding votes on these catastrophic taxes.
