NFIB Calls Tax Reform 2.0 Vote An Important Step Forward For Small Business

Date: September 28, 2018

Washington, D.C. (Sept. 28, 2018)NFIB, the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, issued the following statement on behalf of President and CEO Juanita D. Duggan addressing today’s vote on Tax Reform 2.0:

“NFIB applauds the House Ways and Means Committee for passing H.R. 6760, the Protecting Family and Small Business Tax Cuts Act of 2018, which would make permanent the small business pass-through deduction created in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Small businesses have thrived since tax relief was signed into law last winter. By voting to make this deduction permanent, the House is sending a strong signal to the Senate that they should move quickly to vote on permanence and give business owners the ability to plan long-term for their businesses.”
