Date: August 13, 2020

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (Aug. 13, 2020) — The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, today endorsed Senator Shelley Moore Capito for re-election to the United States Senate.

“Senator Capito has been a true champion for West Virginia small businesses throughout her time in Congress,” said Gil White, NFIB’s West Virginia State Director. “She has a deep understanding of the issues our members care about, such as eliminating burdensome regulations and making small business tax relief permanent. We are confident that Senator Capito will continue to support the small business community in Congress, and we are proud to endorse her for re-election today.”

“Small businesses need representatives like Senator Capito in Congress now more than ever,” said NFIB National Political Director Sharon Sussin. “She is a dedicated supporter of small businesses in West Virginia and across our country. We are pleased to endorse her today for re-election, and we look forward to continuing to work with her in Congress.”

Shelley Moore Capito’s endorsement today comes from NFIB FedPAC, the organization’s political action committee. NFIB FedPAC is funded by NFIB member donations above membership dues. Decisions made by NFIB FedPAC are managed by a member driven grassroots evaluation process. Small business owners are influential in their communities and NFIB members in West Virginia will work hard to re-elect Shelley Moore Capito.
