Where Can Small Businesses Find Capital, Expertise?

Date: March 31, 2024

Learn about Nevada’s Battle Born Loan Program and about the expertise offered by the Nevada Small Business Development Center from this NFIB webinar

Bringing its members the very latest information about the issues and resources affecting their ability to own, operate, and grow their small businesses is one of the benefits of belonging to NFIB.

In a special 32-minute webinar hosted on March 26, NFIB swung away from its usual presentations on policies and regulations to subjects that will always be with small-business owners—access to capital and to expertise on running a business.

Personal savings and bank loans are the more often used avenues to finance. But there are state and federal pools of money to tap into that are not so well-known, and this webinar acquaints our members with them and with the Nevada Small Business Development Center’s team of experts willing to help on other matters.

Joining NFIB Nevada State Director Tray Abney for this presentation were:

  • Gail Anderson, CEO of Nevada Battle Born Growth Escalator, Inc.
  • Winnie Dowling, state director of the Nevada Small Business Development Center (SBDC)
  • Kaitlyn Schwantes, SBDC business development advisor
  • Mendy Elliott, chief credit officer for the Battle Born Loan Program

There is money out there. financial resources quick and easy to access. For a half hour of your time, you might find the solution to a short- or medium-term funding problem or where to go for some helpful advice on other matters.

NFIB recommends its members acquaint themselves with the people and programs working to revitalize the Main Streets of the Silver State at the link above.
