The National Federation of Independent Business/Ohio (NFIB/Ohio), the state’s leading small business association representing 25,000 entrepreneurs, is proud to announce its endorsement of Rep. Lou Terhar who is seeking election to Ohio’s 8th Senate District seat. The district is home to 521 dues paying members of NFIB/Ohio. This endorsement today comes from the NFIB/Ohio SAFE Trust, the organization’s political action committee.
Rep. Terhar has a platform of being a strong voice for fiscal responsibility, smaller government, and lower taxes. During his time in the Ohio House of Representatives, he has been a dedicated advocate on areas of concern to Ohio entrepreneurs, earning a 100% voting record with NFIB. The issues he champions are the same that the members of NFIB/Ohio have identified through surveying done by the organization of small-business owners throughout the state.
“Rep. Terhar has been approved through NFIB/Ohio’s member-driven process that thoroughly reviews candidates’ records, stated positions and understanding of small-business issues before an endorsement is issued,” said Roger R. Geiger, vice president and executive director of NFIB/Ohio. “During his time in the Ohio Legislature he demonstrated a true understanding of what is important to Ohio’s small business community, including sponsoring a bill that allows small business owners a better opportunity to collect debts owed through the small claims court process. He will be an excellent addition to the Ohio Senate.”
“I am pleased to announce that the National Federation of Independent Business has endorsed my candidacy for the Ohio Senate. I appreciate NFIB’s support and will continue to work for small businesses who are the greatest job producers in the country,” said Terhar.
