Please Vote Your Alaska Member State Ballot

Date: January 18, 2024

Results help center NFIB's small business lobbying agenda in Juneau

Your NFIB Alaska-member state ballot has been sent to you. If you haven’t already received it, please use it to express your opinion on three issues The Alaska State Legislature could be grappling with in 2024.

Unique among business associations, NFIB annually polls its members on state and federal issues vital to their ability to own, operate, and grow their enterprises. Results from the member ballots center NFIB’s lobbying position in Juneau and in Washington, D.C. It’s because of this method, elected officials and other policymakers from coast to coast consider NFIB to be the true voice of small business.

The 2024 NFIB Alaska-member ballot asked three questions:

  • Should Alaska prohibit employers from holding mandatory employee meetings to communicate their political stances or the impact of unionization, known as “captive audience”?
  • Should Alaska require employers to disclose salary ranges and benefits on job postings?
  • Should Alaska require employers to provide their employees a guaranteed number of days of annual paid sick
    leave?

The ballot contains background information and proponents’ and opponents’ comments on each of the issues. Please vote your ballot.
