NFIB Iowa hosts two special events

Date: May 04, 2016

Join NFIB Iowa next week at two special events!

On Monday, May 9th, Congressman David Young will meet with NFIB members to discuss issues affecting small business.  It
is important for business owners to be involved in government at all levels.
NFIB Iowa is proud to be able to give our members this opportunity to
speak with Congressman Young about the issues that are most concerning for
their businesses.  Don’t miss this chance to talk directly to your US
Representative!

The event will take place at Accu-Mold, 1711 SE Oralabor Road, in Ankeny.  Lunch will be served at 11:30 am, and Congressman Young will meet with the group from noon until 1:00 pm.

The following day, Tuesday, May 10th, we will be in Cedar Rapids discussing labor issues.  The Linn County Board of
Supervisors has appointed a study group to explore the potential impact of
raising the minimum wage in Linn County. Johnson County is considering a similar minimum wage hike.  In
response, NFIB Iowa would like to give our members the opportunity to learn
more about how minimum wage and other labor issues will likely effect small
business.  Michael
Saltsman, a leading expert on minimum wage and the Research Director for the
Employment Policies Institute, will lead the discussion.  Don’t miss this
unique opportunity!

This event will be held at the Clarion Hotel & Conference Center, 525 33rd Ave SW in Cedar Rapids.  Lunch will be served at 11:30 am and the program will begin at noon.

We hope that you can join us for one of these events!
