This year's tax holiday couldn't come at a better time
NFIB State Director Gil White says this weekend’s sales tax holiday on clothes, laptops and tablets, school supplies, instructional materials, and sports equipment is a great opportunity for people to help local businesses during difficult economic times. “This year’s tax holiday couldn’t come at a better time,” White said. “Inflation is affecting everyone, including local businesses,” he said. “That’s why it’s important for people to shop at locally-owned stores this weekend.
“Small business drives West Virginia’s economy,” White said. “When you shop small, you help the independent and family-owned businesses that create jobs and support their communities all year long. That’s why we’re encouraging everyone to shop small this weekend and throughout the year.”
