Delegate Ben Queen joined NFIB and small business owners from around the state today for NFIB’s Virtual Small Business Day at the Capitol.
“We can’t meet in person because of the COVID-19 pandemic, so we’re meeting live online,” NFIB State Director Gil White said. Other speakers at Wednesday’s virtual event included Kevin Kuhlman, NFIB’s vice president of federal government relations.
Queen, a small-business owner who chairs the House Small Business and Economic Development Committee, talked about the need to support small, independent businesses.
Economic development officials tend to focus on attracting big employers to the Mountain State, he said, but it’s just as important for West Virginia to make it easier for small businesses to grow and create jobs.
