The NFIB Research Center released a survey today updating the utilization and financial assistance of both small business lending programs, the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) Program. The survey also explores the familiarity of the Main Street Lending Program and the prevalence of COVID-19 related to employee leave.
NFIB State Director Jim Brown said, “NFIB’s survey shows the PPP loans overall have been a success for small business. However, EIDLs have not been, and the Main Street Lending Program is hardly on their radar. Small businesses clearly will need more liquidity and flexibility soon, which could include potential support from both state-sponsored bridge loan and emergency grant programs.”
