Oklahoma's Small Businesses Were Big Winners on Election Day

Date: November 05, 2014

Jerrod Shouse, state director of the National Federation of Independent Business, has released the following statement concerning Tuesday’s elections:
“Thanks to the unwavering support of our small-business members, NFIB/Oklahoma helped elect a number of pro-business candidates to state and federal office yesterday.
“Thirty of 31 Oklahoma candidates endorsed by the NIFB SAFE Trust won, including Gov. Mary Fallin and Lt. Gov. Todd Lamb as well as 28 of 29 endorsed legislative candidates–19 in the House, and 9 in the Senate.

“On the federal level, all of NFIB’s endorsed candidates won: Jim Inhofe and James Lankford to the Senate, and Jim Bridenstine, Markwayne Mullin, Frank Lucas and Tom Cole to the House.

“NFIB is the voice of small business in Oklahoma City and in Washington, D.C., and on Election Day, our voice was heard loud and clear. Tuesday’s victories were a big step toward our goal of promoting and protecting the right of our members to own, operate and grow their businesses.”
NFIB/Oklahoma is the state’s leading small-business association, with over 4,000 dues-paying members representing a cross section of the state’s economy.
