Date: April 22, 2024

On April 10th, NFIB State Director Bruce Berke held a virtual legislative briefing for members to discuss the key small business issues currently being debated in the ongoing New Hampshire legislative session. Berke presented a timely and informative overview of NFIB’s advocacy for small businesses in the capital, taking questions from participants.

While a free registration was required to join the briefing, we are providing a recording of the virtual event for those who could not attend:

State Director Berke was also joined by State Senator Howard Pearl to provide an inside look under the capitol dome regarding increases in business insurance premiums, attempts to hike minimum wage, proposed mandated pay for unused time off, and other issues that will affect how you run your small business. Sen. Pearl chairs the Senate Executive Departments & Administration Committee and also serves on the Senate Energy & Natural Resources Committee and the powerful Senate Finance Committee.

NFIB Grassroots Manager Julianna Rauf concluded the program by speaking with attendees about how to be an informed and effective champion for New Hampshire’s small business community with lawmakers in Concord.
