The Missouri office of National Federation of Independent
Business, the state’s leading small-business association, has presented its
coveted Guardian of Small Business Award to state Sen. Will Kraus.
The Guardian of Small Business award is the most prestigious
honor that NFIB bestows on legislators in recognition of their efforts to
support small business issues. The NFIB/Missouri Leadership Council, an
advisory board comprised of NFIB members, voted to present the award to Kraus
for supporting small-business issues in the Legislature.
Senator Kraus has been a strong defender of Missouri’s small,
family businesses, said Brad Jones, state director of NFIB/Missouri.
“Will Kraus has been a true friend to Missouri small business,”
Jones said. “He has consistently supported and sponsored legislation that helps
to get government off the backs and out of the pockets of our job creators.
“And as chairman of the Senate Ways and Means Committee, Senator
Kraus has shown us time and time again that he understands the importance of
giving small businesses the tools they need to be successful,” Jones said.
Senator Kraus’ achievements include sponsoring last year’s across-the-board tax
cuts and this year’s legislation to rein in the Department of Revenue.
“On behalf of all small businesses in Missouri, NFIB would like
to thank Senator Kraus for his hard work and dedication to our state’s
entrepreneurs,” Jones said.
