Minimum Wage Increase Set for January 1, 2022

The minimum wage will now be $14.25 per hour, while the tipped wage will rise to $6.15 per hour.

The Massachusetts minimum wage is scheduled to increase again starting on January 1, 2022. The minimum wage will now be $14.25 per hour, while the tipped wage will rise to $6.15 per hour. This was part of a multistep increase set in the 2018 Grand Bargain Law.

Premium pay for certain retailers on Sundays and holidays will now decrease to 1.1 times the minimum wage and finally completely phase-out in January 2023 (also part of the 2018 Grand Bargain).
