The event was held at Hurst Business Supply & Furniture Solutions, an NFIB member business in Lexington.
Barr is among the lawmakers who voted in favor of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. The historic legislation will greatly reduce the financial pressure on Kentucky small businesses and make it easier for them to expand, add jobs, and help grow the economy.
Because of the vote, taxes are no longer rank as the No. 1 problem facing small businesses.
According to the latest NFIB Small Business Economic Trends Survey, the No. 1 issue is now “quality of labor.” Taxes and government regulations are tied for second, followed by the cost and availability of insurance.
