Dan Murray, state director of the National Federation of Independent Business, released the following statement today concerning Tuesday’s elections:

“Thanks to our members, NFIB/Kansas helped elect pro-business candidates to state and federal office. Overall, 81 of the 91 candidates endorsed by the NFIB SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust won, including Gov. Sam Brownback, Lt. Gov. Jeff Colyer and Attorney General Derek Schmidt. In addition, 78 endorsed candidates were elected to the Kansas House

“At the federal level, all of NFIB’s endorsed candidates won, including Sen. Pat Roberts and Reps. Tim Huelskamp, Lynn Jenkins, Kevin Yoder and Mike Pompeo.

“NFIB is the voice of small business in Topeka and in Washington, D.C., and on Election Day, our voice was heard loud and clear. These victories were a big step toward our goal of promoting and protecting the right our our members to own, operate and grow their businesses.”
