NFIB PA Honors Legislators with Prestigious ‘Guardian Award’

Date: July 15, 2021

The Guardian of Small Business award is the most prestigious honor that NFIB bestows on legislators in recognition of their efforts to support small businesses. Legislators only receive this award for being a strong and consistent advocate for small business in the Pennsylvania General Assembly. Recently, NFIB PA State Director Greg Moreland had the privilege to present several legislators with their awards. He is pictured here with state Senator Kristin Phillips-Hill (R-York County).

“Senator Phillips-Hill earned a 100 percent NFIB voting record in the 2019-2020 legislative session,” Moreland said. “She has consistently supported small business operations throughout the pandemic and has risen to the challenge of carrying legislation that protects small businesses, so they are free to operate without the fear of costly litigation or unattainable mandates.

“Leaders like Senator Kristin Phillips-Hill, and others, give small business owners the hope that they can remain open and continue to grow and hire despite the challenges they faced in 2020,” Moreland said. “On behalf of our members, I am proud to present Senator Phillips-Hill with the NFIB Guardian of Small Business award.”
