Earlier this month, NFIB leaders and friends gathered at the iconic Old Country Store in Jackson to recognize state Rep. Jimmy Eldridge for his stellar support of small business. Eldridge is leaving his state seat to run for mayor of Jackson.
Chair of the House Consumer & Human Resources Committee, Eldridge helped small business greatly through his dedicated work on meaningful workers’ compensation and unemployment reforms, a keen eye for bills that were bad for business, and his efficient work ethic as chair.
“Jimmy Eldridge will be remembered for his fair-handed approach as committee chair, his ability to work with leaders from both parties, and his passion to help small businesses across our state excel,” said Jim Brown, Tennessee state director. “His time was well spent in the Tennessee General Assembly, and he leaves a great legacy of service for House District 73.”
Rep. Eldridge is a 2012 NFIB Guardian of Small Business award recipient, part of a long list or achievements and recognition, and has been an NFIB member since 2005.
Our best wishes, Jimmy, to you and your family!
