NFIB Presents Guardian of Small Business Award to Virginia Foxx

Date: August 29, 2018

NFIB presented U.S. Rep. Virginia Foxx (5th District) with a coveted Guardian of Small Business Award following a roundtable with members at Joyce Farms, an NFIB member business in Winston-Salem.

The Guardian of Small Business Award is the most prestigious honor that NFIB bestows on members of Congress in recognition of their efforts to support small business issues.

Foxx has earned a 100% voting record with NFIB in the 115th Congress (2017-18), siding with small businesses on regularity and legal reform. She also supported the historic Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which eased the financial pressure on small businesses and made it easier for them to grow and to create jobs.

“Small business needs more advocates in Congress like Virginia Foxx,” Thompson said. “Representative Foxx clearly understands the challenges facing North Carolina’s small businesses, and she’s done everything she can to help level the playing field and create an environment where small, family-owned and -run businesses can grow and create jobs.

“On behalf of our members here and throughout the country, I thank Virginia Foxx for supporting our small businesses,” Thompson said. “I’m proud to present her with this Guardian of Small Business Award.”
