The NFIB Small Business Challenge is a national campaign that invites lawmakers to spend time “on the job” at a small business in their districts and allows them to learn more about the challenges small-business owners face, including day-to-day management, compliance, and tax issues.
During his Aug. 9 visit to Tower Extrusions and Tower Fab, Arrington operated a machine that produces plates for cluster mailbox units. He also assembled an linear LED light from start to finish. He mounted a driver in the aluminum body, installed the wiring, attached the reflector subassembly that holds the LED lights, installed the plastic lens, and tested the unit to make sure it worked.

Arrington later met with Tower Extrusions management and employees to talk about tax relief, regulatory reform, and other issues affecting businesses in the 19th congressional district.
“Rural America has a work ethic, it has a value system,” he said. “That’s what Small Town U.S.A. means to this country … so, when I say I represent the heartland of America, the backbone of America, I’m talking about … people like you guys.”
“We truly appreciate Congressman Arrington taking time to visit with one of our members and learn more about the business, its employees, and their day-to-day challenges,” said Annie Spilman, NFIB’s state director for Texas.
