26 Legislative Candidates Earn Coveted Small Business Endorsement

The NFIB Florida PAC said today it has endorsed 26 legislative in the state’s Aug. 23 primary election. The political action committee is comprised solely of NFIB members in the Sunshine State. “Big business usually gets the spotlight, but small businesses account for over 99% of all businesses in the state,” NFIB Florida Executive Director Bill Herrle said. “It’s imperative that we elect the candidates who will create and maintain an environment that enables small businesses to grow and keep Floridians working.” Early voting in the election begins as early as Aug. 8 in some counties. The general election is on Nov. 8. The NFIB Florida PAC’s endorsement is important to these campaigns. Small business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members, and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB’s political support is based on the candidates’ positions and records on key small-business issues.
