Small Business Endorses Ashley Moody for Attorney General

Date: September 19, 2018

Tallahassee, FL, September 19, 2018 — NFIB, the state’s leading small business advocacy organization, today announced its full support and endorsement of Ashley Moody for Attorney General of Florida. NFIB announced the endorsement today during a roundtable meeting with small business leaders at NFIB member business Parliment Building Products in Jacksonville.

“Ashley Moody’s support for policies that support small business and free enterprise make her the best candidate for Attorney General of Florida,” said NFIB’s Florida Executive Director Bill Herrle. “It’s imperative that we elect an Attorney General who will stand up for the constitutional rights of small business owners, and Ashley understands that preventing government overreach and stopping government waste is the best way to help small businesses and our economy grow.”

The endorsement was made by the NFIB Florida PAC, which is comprised exclusively of NFIB members.

“Thank you to the National Federation of Independent Business for their endorsement of my candidacy to become Florida’s next Attorney General,” said Ashley Moody. “Small business owners are the backbone of Florida’s economy, employing local friends and neighbors. As Florida’s next chief legal officer and top prosecutor, I am committed to ensuring our communities are safe and that Florida remains a top destination to achieve the entrepreneurial dream.”

NFIB is the state’s leading small business advocacy organization, with nearly 10,000 small business owner members in Florida. The NFIB Florida PAC’s endorsement is significant in an important election year. Small business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB’s political support is based on candidates’ positions and records on small-business issues.
