The NFIB South Carolina PAC has endorsed Alan Wilson for a third term as attorney general. NFIB State Director Ben Homeyer announced the political action committee’s endorsement at a campaign event at The Cod Father, an NFIB member business in North Charleston.
“Alan Wilson has done a lot to level the playing field for small businesses in his first term,” Homeyer says.
“Alan Wilson opposed the so-called Affordable Care Act, which actually raised costs for small businesses, and he fought the National Labor Relation Board’s attempt to undermine Boeing’s expansion to the state,” Homeyer says. “He also supported our efforts to block the Obama administration’s overreaching Waters of the U.S. rule that imposed unfair and unworkable new regulations on small businesses.
“Alan Wilson clearly understands the challenges facing small businesses,” Homeyer says. “Our members believe he will do everything within his power to maintain an environment where entrepreneurs can grow their businesses and create jobs.”
Today’s endorsement puts the considerable grassroots support of the state’s small businesses behind Alan Wilson’s campaign. Small-business owners and their employees vote in large numbers and make a point of recruiting other entrepreneurs, friends, and family members to support the small-business candidate.
