NFIB, the nation’s leading small-business advocacy organization, began a series of radio ads today urging voters to support candidates for state office who support small business. The 30-second spot, paid for by NFIB’s state office, will run in Austin and Dallas through Nov. 5.
“Small business is the engine that drives Texas’s economy, and it’s important that we elect candidates who will clear the way to help small businesses grow and create jobs,” NFIB State Director Annie Spilman said.
The NFIB Texas PAC earlier endorsed Greg Abbott for governor and Mike Toth for a seat on the Texas Third Court of Appeals. The political action committee, which is comprised solely of NFIB members in Texas, also endorsed candidates in 102 state legislative races.
In addition to the radio ads, the NFIB Texas PAC has sent voter guides to NFIB members throughout the state and will use email and phone messages to remind its members to support the candidates on Nov. 6.
“Small business can’t afford to sit this one out,” Spilman said. “We have to make the voice of small business heard at the polls and support the candidates who support small business.”
