He is a proven champion of small businesses in Maryland
ANNAPOLIS, (Sept. 21, 2018) – The NFIB MD PAC announced today it endorsed Larry Hogan in the race for governor of Maryland. Hogan is overwhelmingly supported by the association’s state members, he has an excellent record of supporting small business, and NFIB’s national board has given the endorsement a thumbs up.
“Under the Hogan Administration, small business owners in Maryland have seen a significant reduction in taxes and burdensome regulations,” said Tim Goodrich, executive director of NFIB’s state government relations. “As governor, Larry Hogan has delivered a $1.2-billion reduction in taxes, tolls, and fees. He has also eliminated or streamlined hundreds of regulations that were creating a nightmare for job creators.”
“As a lifelong small businessman, I am incredibly proud to receive the endorsement of the National Federation of Independent Business, which is a true champion for small businesses in Maryland and across the country,” said Governor Hogan. “Since day one of our administration, improving Maryland’s business climate and growing our economy have been top priorities, and we now have more businesses open and more people working than at any other time in our state’s history. I look forward to working with NFIB over the next four years as we continue to make Maryland a better, more affordable place to live, work, and retire.”
NFIB is the leading small-business association in the nation with thousands of members across Maryland, representing a cross-section of the state’s economy. The endorsement comes from the NFIB MD PAC, the association’s state political action committee, which is comprised of Maryland small-business owners. In addition to his record on small business while in office, a statewide NFIB member ballot showed almost 99-percent support for Hogan.
Small-business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members, and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB will encourage its members to help turn out the small-business vote for NFIB MD PAC-endorsed candidates, including Larry Hogan in the General Election.
