North Carolina Needs Crowdfunding
North Carolina is on the cutting edge of providing new ways for entrepreneurs to build a business and create jobs.
Helping small business is especially important given the loss of manufacturing, textiles and tobacco jobs.
One way lawmakers are looking to help entrepreneurs is by passing legislation to allow crowdfunding.
Crowdfunding is when individuals invest as little as $2,000 in a business. Fifteen states already have crowdfunding legislation on the books.
It’s time North Carolina joined them. Crowdfunding would let lawmakers provide entrepreneurs with another source of income to build move forward with their innovative ideas.
