U.S. Reps. Talk with NFIB Washington Members

Date: May 06, 2020

Top SBA official joins congressmen on exclusive conference call for small-business owners

Lawmakers across the nation know NFIB to be the true voice of small business, which is why many seized the opportunity to talk with its members in conference calls NFIB has arranged for governors, U.S. senators, and House members.

NFIB members for their part were anxious to hear the latest information on the problems, fixes, and nuances surrounding the Paycheck Protection Program loans and Economic Injury Disaster Loans. What further money is being considered? What further changes in the loan requirements are being debated?

On May 5, NFIB Washington arranged for one of the state’s congressmen, U.S. Rep. Dan Newhouse from central Washington state, and Ohio U.S. Rep. Steve Chabot, who is the ranking member on the Small Business Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives to come and give an update and answer questions. They were joined by Ryan Lambert, a senior adviser with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
