NFIB State Director Annie Spilman was on Fox News this morning. She talked about the state’s new pilot program to voluntarily test small business employers for the coronavirus.
On Wednesday, Dec. 9, Spilman discussed the program with Neil Cavuto on Fox Business. Click here to watch the clip on the Fox Business website.
Gov. Greg Abbott and the Texas Division of Emergency Management announced the program on Monday.
The tests aren’t mandatory. Emergency Management will provide local chambers of commerce with testing supplies to distribute to local businesses that choose to participate. Workers also can opt-out of the testing program.
The program has been developed using the framework of the COVID-19 Rapid Testing Pilot Program for Texas school systems, implemented by the Texas Education Agency and Emergency Management in October.
Small businesses interested in participating in the program may contact their local Chamber of Commerce for more information.
