NFIB Statement on Reopening WV Businesses

Date: April 27, 2020

NFIB State Director Gil White released the following statement today in response to Gov. Jim Justice’s plan to begin reopening the West Virginia economy:

“Governor Justice’s plan gives our small business members the opportunity to begin reopening while keeping their customers and their employees as safe as possible. The coronavirus has taken a huge financial toll on West Virginia’s economy, and it’s still uncertain how many of the businesses that had to close temporarily are going to have the resources to reopen when the time is right.

“The COVID-19 crisis isn’t over, but Governor Justice’s guidelines will allow owners to evaluate whether the time is right for them to reopen.”
