NFIB State Director Ben Homeyer released the following statement today in response to Gov. Henry McMaster’s decision to allow more businesses to begin reopening on Monday, May 18:
“Our members are relieved that Governor McMaster is allowing most businesses and close-contact services in the state to begin reopening. The COVID-19 shutdown devastated South Carolina’s small businesses, so today’s order is welcome news.
“With the restrictions in place to reduce the risk of a second wave of the coronavirus, it won’t be business as usual, but it will allow more businesses to reconnect with their customers and put people back to work.”
