NFIB Statement on Gov. Reeves' Safer at Home Order

Date: April 24, 2020

NFIB State Director Dawn Starns released the following statement today in response to Gov. Tate Reeves’ executive order establishing a statewide safer at home order to begin the process of reopening Mississippi’s economy:

“Our small business members truly appreciate Governor Reeve’s measured approach to protecting the health of Mississippians while beginning the process of restarting the economy. This health crisis has devastated Mississippi’s small businesses, and it’s too soon to say whether all of the businesses that had to close temporarily will be able to reopen when the time is right. Small business owners will consider their unique circumstances and their communities when determining when and how to reopen under the guidelines Governor Reeve’s announced today.”
