Concerns about COVID-19 halt session

In light of growing concerns regarding COVID-19, Speaker of the Legislature Jim Scheer (Norfolk) has announced that the 2020 legislative session has been indefinitely suspended.

Despite the suspension of legislative activities, Speaker Scheer noted that the Legislature may need to be called back into session for the limited purpose of passing an emergency appropriation to provide the tools to fight the coronavirus.
