Congressman Darin LaHood Talks with NFIB Members at Annual Fly-In Event

As part of the NFIB Virtual Fly-In this year, Illinois members had the opportunity to meet and talk with Congressman Darin LaHood (IL 18th District) on June 24th.  Rep. LaHood sits on the influential House Ways and Means Committee, the committee that U.S. tax policy runs through.

Illinois members joining the call received a briefing on the up-to-the-minute proposals on the infrastructure bill and related tax proposals from Rep. LaHood. Also on the call, NFIB Vice President for Federal Government Relations, Kevin Kuhlman provided specific insight on how several of the proposed tax changes would impact small businesses and family owned farms.

NFIB members Heather Hampton Knodle and Cindy Neal, had questions regarding US foreign trade and worker shortages.
