Single-Payer Healthcare makes the November ballot

The aim of Colorado Care is to replace all private insurance, worker’s compensation coverage, and small group coverage with a government-administered plan.

The aim of Colorado Care is to replace all private insurance, worker’s compensation coverage and small group coverage with a government-administered plan.

Voters will be asked in November to approve Colorado Cares, a single-payer healthcare plan which raises taxes by $25 Billion dollars the first year. In comparison the Colorado State budget is currently $27 Billion dollars. The aim of Colorado Care is to replace all private insurance, worker’s compensation coverage and small group coverage with a government-administered plan.  “Our members expected us to fight the Affordable Care Act and NFIB did all the way to the Supreme Court. We will fight Amendment 69 with just as much fury in Colorado” stated Tony Gagliardi, NFIB/CO State Director.
