Small Business Endorses Sen. Scott Wilk for Reelection

Date: September 15, 2020

Lawmaker for Antelope, Santa Clarita, and Victor valleys scored 83 percent on NFIB voting record

SACRAMENTO, Calif., Sept. 15, 2020—The political action committee for California’s leading small-business association today announced its endorsement of state Sen. Scott Wilk for re-election to his 21st District seat.

“The high regard Senator Wilk is held in by his colleagues for his ability to work across the political aisle makes him a rare and extremely valuable ally and asset for small-business owners,” said John Kabateck, California state director for NFIB. “We concur wholeheartedly with the Los Angeles Daily News’ endorsement of him, writing ‘Sacramento can use more lawmakers like Scott Wilk in the state Senate. Fiscally responsible and open-minded, Wilk is a sensible legislator.’”

The endorsement of Wilk was made by the NFIB CA PAC and based on six votes taken in the first half of the 2019-2020 session. A minimum of 70% was needed for endorsement consideration. Wilk had 83 percent.

Senator Wilk represents the Los Angeles County communities of Lancaster, Palmdale, and Santa Clarita, and the San Bernardino County communities of Adelanto, Apple Valley, Hesperia, and Victorville.
