NFIB Announces Endorsements for State Senate and Assembly
Support reflects candidates who are consistent friends of small business

SACRAMENTO, Calif., May 11, 2018 – Today the NFIB CA PAC announced a group of legislative endorsements for the 2018 primary and general elections. The PAC moved to endorse these candidates based on their high voting record alignment with NFIB/CA positions and/or due to the compelling nature of their candidacy given the dynamics of that specific race.

NFIB CA PAC Chair Sunder Ramani stated, “These candidates reflect the clearest choice for small business both in the June Primary and on the November General ballot. We have full confidence that each of these candidates will bring a unique and powerful voice for small business under the Capitol dome in Sacramento.”

While these endorsed candidates warranted early support from NFIB, the NFIB CA PAC has not concluded endorsements for 2018. Legislative candidates seeking NFIB’s endorsement may contact our office to complete our questionnaire and potentially arrange an interview with NFIB staff and leadership.

NFIB represents over 20,000 dues-paying small business owners in California reflecting a cross-section of the state’s economy. The endorsement comes from the NFIB CA PAC, the organization’s political action committee, and is based on positions regarding key small-business policy issues including health care, taxes, labor, and regulatory issues.

Small business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members, and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB will encourage its members to help turn out the small-business vote for candidates in the June 5 primary, and again in November.
