Arizona Faces Pivotal 2018

Date: January 17, 2018

Arizona small business owners face a pivotal year ahead, including a momentous array of political races that will decide the future of the state’s economy.

A general Election awaits on November 6 that features all of the state’s nine U.S. House of Representatives seats up for grabs, as well as Senate, gubernatorial and a range of other executive positions.

In Phoenix, state lawmakers convened for a new regular session, and Gov. Doug Ducey delivered his State of the State Address on Jan. 8. In his speech, he hailed the state’s small businesses, among its other institutions.

“These last three years, I’ve been to every county in the state – and I like what I’ve seen,” Ducey said. “Public schools. Small businesses. Large companies. Farms. Churches. Tribal nations. Little leagues.  Non-profits. Northern Arizona. Southern Arizona. Arizonans looking out for each other. Lifting each other up. There are no party labels out there. Just good, hard-working people looking to make this a better place to live – not only for them and their families, but for others.”
