Alaska Governor Announces Plans to Stabilize Economy

New Alaska Economic Stabilization Team Announced

Governor Mike Dunleavy announced that the new Alaska Economic Stabilization Team will work with his office to come up with a plan to protect Alaska’s economy from the impacts of COVID-19. The team will be made up of different bipartisan leaders, including former Governor Sean Parnell and former U.S. Senator Mark Begich. The rest of the group with be filled with different economic leaders and former elected officials from across the state.  

 

 

AEST will with with the Governor’s office and the State of Alaska Unified Command Structure to come up with a comprehensive plan to reduce the impacts from the pandemic. They will also give regular updates to legislative leaders to make sure the state acts as soon as possible to minimize the economic impacts to small business. The Governor also said AEST will also engage and consult with people from the small business community to make sure their voices are heard.
